FISH hosted a bake off where children baked 6 cupcakes. 1 was judged and 5 were sold to raise funds for the school. Over £100 was raised and 64 cupcakes judged!

Chris Cook Visit February 2016 (14 images)
Commonwealth Gold Medallist and Olympic Swimmer Chris Cook visited the school again in the lead up to this years games in Rio. Chris led a whole school assembly where he talked to the children about goal setting and being ambitious. He then worked with different classes and groups of children helping them boost their confidence and develop leadership skills.
Deal's RMA holds an annual pantomime through which they raise an incredible amount for good causes. Hornbeam football team were lucky enough this year to receive a donation towards a new kit. Many thanks to all at the RMA involved in the Sgts Mess Panto.

Chris Cook visits Hornbeam 2015 (4 images)
Olympic and Commonwealth Swimmer Chris Cook visited the school and gave an assembly, showing the children his gold medal from the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. Year 1 were also lucky to get some tips for their first swimming lesson of the year.

A day of fundraising: the children took part in a sponsored assault course, had a Red Nose themed tuck shop, bid for a teacher to get their face painted for the whole day, dressed up as secret agents and raised over £1000!
